John Part's LVDC5 practice routine

Practice Routinesdigger writes "This is taken from a post John made before he left for the LVDC5 World Championship. It details what John did to prepare himself for the match:

"I warmed up by hitting every segment on the board. Fat singles, then skinny singles, 25, doubles, 50, triples.

Then I played simulated LVDC qualifying matches. Best of 7 legs, flip for start in leg 1, 3, and 5. Loser of flip starts leg 2, 4, and 6. A game 7 requires a bull. To simulate this I simply say a 25 is a re-throw, a 50 is a win, and everything else is a loss.

I assume my opponent has an average of 30ppd or 90 a turn. This means that between 16 and 17 darts a leg. so I have 15 darts against the throw, and 18 with it.

I played 6 matches, and won 4. I won 21 of 36 legs. I averaged 32.24ppd or 96.71 a turn."

John went on to emphasize that it's not important to actually "finish" your practice all the way through. If you can not finish the game in the required amount of darts or less, it's considered a loss."
