more on the dart throw

More on the throw.

First, make sure your stance etc is ok.

Right now you should have your elbow out and locked.

The AIM.  Please aim at something.  The more specific the more chance you have of getting it.
Don't just aim at the board. or even the 20, or even the tripple 20 (well maybe the tripple 20 if your just starting)
Aim at a mark, dot, etc.  something specific.   and concerntrate on it (we will cover concerntration later).

now your dart should be between your eye and the board,  make sure you slowly back the dart up.  A nice even motion not to fast, then throw.
The throw is pretty natural.  Try and make the release of the dart in the same spot every time.
and Don't forget to follow through.  like any accuracy sport involving hand eye co-oridination your hand should end up pointing at the spot you were aiming.

Again the guys at dart bas have a great resource.

Now,  practice.

The points to remember so far.
DON'T lean
keep a firm even stance
hold the dart firmly, your fingers should not be turning white.  Just firmly
AIM at something specific.
drawback evenly and smoothly and slowly.  Your in no hurry.
then the throw with your hand pointing to the spot you were aiming.

That should get you going and help you improve.
