Walk into the darts competition at the Gay Games and you might be surprised by what you see -- or what you don't see.

You don't see a smoky room filled with burly men holding MGDs, tossing ratty tailed darts onto a pockmarked board.

Instead, the Gay Games version of the barroom favorite is more like the Vegas treatment of the sport -- with electronic dart boards that ping, darts that are more aerodynamic than a sports car, and teams wearing coordinating uniforms or shirts.
