PRIESTLEY AIMS FOR ELITE STATUS

MEXBOROUGH'S Dennis Priestley hopes a good performance at the forthcoming Stan James World Matchplay tournament will elevate him into darts' elite.
Priestley of Church Street, takes on qualifier Alan Tabern, ranked 69th in the world, in a best of 19 legs first-round match in Blackpool on Sunday.
Said Priestley: "I am throwing alright at the moment. It is all about being able to score doubles, score points and being to put both games together, if I can do that, then I am a game for anybody.
